Be Proactive

Be Proactive!

Early in my career I encountered several occurrences when my boss came running after I had gotten off course, headed down a road that wasn’t going to bring the results needed. I was headed toward (or already in) failure! To be honest, it p—-d me off, because my deviation off course could have been prevented if he had been proactive and lead our team toward success (doing the things he already knew we should be doing) rather than come running up afterwards sweeping up the crumbs of possible calamity and pointing fingers. I vowed never to do that with a team I was leading.
