The Women’s Circle: Changing Business Around the World

Slowly but surely we are seeing an evolution in the world of business. Where men used to be the head of every business, more and more women are taking over. The traditional role of the woman behind the powerful man has changed into the more modern, and more accepted equal roles of the powerful woman walking beside a powerful man. In a move that stemmed from the feminist movement launched a number of years ago, not only are we encouraging all countries to treat their women as equals to men, but more importantly to give women the same opportunities as men.

Over the past decades there has been many a positive action into ensuring equal opportunities. And, because of this, more and more women have evolved from being the silent home maker to a force to reckon with in the workplace, to leaders and investors.

How did this happen?

Even though we may think that we know how this happened, it is a delight to realize that women just kept creeping up the business ladder. As this creep was happening we actually were not cognizant of the fact that there was a paradigm shift going on. It seems that we have accepted women in the workplace as if they have been part of the system all along. And rightly so.

Women are infinitely changing the world of business to a more trusting and encouraging environment. They have created powerful circles that have inadvertently changed the workplace into something more nurturing, thus offering more opportunities for success to everyone around them. Men are also seeing and experiencing the benefits of the supportive environment that these women have created.

Instead of keeping trade secrets and ensuring that the best practices cannot be gotten from one business by another, female bosses go to lunch and actually share possible solutions to each other’s conundrums. Of course this is not to say that women blab about their businesses’ industry secrets and so forth. While these women can still protect themselves, they inspire others to create workable solutions that may actually mirror what works for their situation.

Women are getting outside their sphere of influence, expanding their horizons and finding those spots where they can have the most impact while helping others.

In the years to come, as we continue to see more women in positions of influence it will be clear how women achieve the success they deserve, while they are able to share this with all the other women in their power circles.
